ROTOCONTROL, with headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, has been founded as a specialist supplier, designing and manufacturing new top-of-the-range high speed, servo-driven label inspection, die-cutting, slitting and rewinding machines. With previous experience and competence as distributors of Rotoflex (Canada) in German speaking Europe (until Rotoflex’s recent take-over by Mark Andy), a major market research was carried out by ROTOCONTROL’s founder, Marco Aengenvoort, to identify the new requirements and expectations from label printers in order to design tomorrow’s generation of label finishing machines. After ROTOCONTROL’s assessment of the needs for label inspection in the upper performance range, it is evident that these goals have been met with the company’s current product offering. Other important objectives were using innovative technologies to optimize the manufacturing process and the reliability of solid processing machines. ROTOCONTROL machines provide convenient and simple operator interface through graphical input and display, with excellent access to all web viewing and handling areas. Ultimate tension control through the S-Drive servo/software system supports the widest variety of materials, incl. delicate films and foil, without the necessity of mechanical reconfiguration of the machine. The machines are available in (smaller) basic inspection/rewinding configurations, but can as option be fitted with numerous modules either at order stage or for retrofitting later to allow enhanced capabilities such as machine vision inspection, single pass re-inspection (security applications), semi and fully automatic turrets as well as multiple slitting, die-cutting, counting and product detection methods.
